Blown off, it would seem

"I don’t want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you....."

So early last summer I met a girl at a bar, and we went on about a date and a half before she decided she wasn't ready to get involved with anyone at that time. She had just broken up with her long-term boyfriend a few weeks previously and was still conflicted about it. There was another odd reason or two as well. I'm not sure how much of it I really buy. We parted the last time we saw each other on friendly terms, though.

Maybe a month after I moved to Coralville I gave her a call to say hi, let her know I'd moved to the area (she had moved to Iowa City a few weeks before we met), and suggest we hang out (just as friends) sometime since I knew very few people down here. We didn't make any plans at that time since it was more a call just to catch up. Anyway...in the many months since then I've tried getting a hold of her on multiple occasions, even left messages on some of those occasions, but have never talked or heard back from her. Strange. Not quite sure what to think about it. I tried emailing her a little over a week ago to see if that might work better.

It hasn't yet.....so I think I'll take the advice of the above quote that was part of a forward I got a day or two ago. If she's intentionally ignoring me, which is very likely, I know there is no good reason why and that I damn well don't deserve it. If she doesn't actually want to see or talk to me ever again, have the common courteousy to just say so. I guess some people just don't have the guts. It's just rude. Argh.

It's kinda surprising I don't use this blog to vent more often. I guess that's just not really me.
