It'll be great! (spoken in a heavy Irish accent)

I think St. Patrick's Day is one of the better holidays. It is widely celebrated but has not (yet) been completely overrun with commercialism. It allows us all to celebrate our Irish heritage. Except I, like many if not most people, do not have any Irish heritage. I do, however, have English, Scottish, Welsh, and French heritage (also Danish and German for those keeping track) which means that I have them well surrounded from all nearby landmasses. I dare them to try and stop me from celebrating.

It happens to fall on a Friday this year (it's March 17th if you didn't know). I see this as an excellent opportunity to go up to Ames, see my friends there, and patronize a drinking establishment in Campustown for the evening. As most of the regular readership of this blog fit in the categories of "friends" and "live in Ames" you can now comment on this exciting proposition.
